The walk will take about two and half hours and will take us through the forest. Some of the paths are sandy.
La prochaine balade sera le dimanche 26 september. Rendez vous à 10 heures à l'entrée du lac à St Palais sur Mer, coté marché. Nous marcherons environ deux heures et demie, en passant par la forêt ou les chemins sont assez sabloneux.

It was very remiss of me not to have thanked you properly at the time. It will be much enjoyed this summer. See you in september!

This is an evening walk organised by the Royan Rotary club on Saturday 5th June. It is 10 kms around St Palais sur Mer with regular stops for refreshment. Cost 13€. It will be our usual 'end of term' outing, starting from Val's house, 3 rue des Pinsons, Vaux sur Mer. Meet at 10am for a two hour stroll along the coast path and then return to Val's house for a picnic in the garden. Bring your own salads, sandwiches etc. Val will provide desserts and drinks.
If you would rather not walk you are welcome to join us between at lunchtime for the picnic. Pool available.
La balade de juin sera le dimanche 27 . Nous partirons de chez Val, 3 rue des Pinsons à Vaux sur Mer a 10 h et nous marcherons environ 2 heures. Retour chez Val pour un picnic. Amenez salades ou sandwiches, Val offre les desserts et les boissons! Si vous préférez ne pas marcher, rendez vous à midi environ chez Val. Piscine.

The rendez vous is on the 16th May at 10 am at the Place de l'Eglise at Saint Sornin. This is a village 12kms south east of Marennes off the D 728. The plan is to take picnics and walk along the edge of the salt marsh and then back up to La Tour de Broue where we will have lunch. The walk will then be back round and down to Saint Sornin, in all 15kms though we have the possibilty to shorten it if necessary. Also there is a possibilty to join us for the picnic at the Tour de Broue and walk with us back to Saint Sornin walking about 7kms. (driving back to fetch cars afterwards). Il fait beau(?) au mois de mai et pour en profiter nous allons faire une balade à la journée avec picnic . Rendez vous le 16 mai à 10 heures Place de l'Eglise à Saint Sornin, un village 12kms au sud est de Marennes par la D 728. Nous partirons avec un picnic à coté du marais salant et puis retour vers la Tour de Broue pour le picnic. Il y a possibilité de nous rejoindre ici et repartir à pieds vers Saint Sornin (avec retour ensuite en voiture). En tout environ 15kms mais nous pouvons raccourcir.. Monthly WalkPosted by Walking Wed, April 14, 2010 19:02:55Just to say that Dave and Jean have kindly done a 'recce' for our forest walk on Sunday and Dave has asked me to point out that although the walk should only take 2hours, there are a few gentle hills and in parts the sand underfoot makes the going a bit tricky at times.
Also we feel Le Flandre restaurant is a bit pricey so will be looking for something that suits better among the restaurants at the Grande Cote.
Looking forward to seeing you on sunday. The meeting point is still in front of Le Flandre Restaurant at 10am.

La balade d'avril sera le dimanche 18 avril. Rendez vous à 10 heures devant le restaurant Le Flandre sur la route St Palais - La Palmyre. Nous marcherons dans la forêt et sur la plage. Possibilité de rester déjeuner au Flandre.

Sunday 21st March. We are planning a day out (bring a picnic) though we will only be walking the usual 10kms or so. Meet at 10am,
WITH PICNIC, on the car park of the Sculpture parc (Les Lapidiales) which is on the D119 1km from Port d'Envaux, a village on the harente river north of Saintes. We will be walking the chemin de Pierre de Crazannes with a 1 hour guided visit of the disused quarries (2€50 per person). Please let me know the previous week if you are coming Val: 0546385898
La balade de mars aura lieu
le dimanche 21 mars. Nous serons une sortie à la journée mais la marche sera les 10kms d'habitude. Rendez vous à 10h (avec un picnic) sur le parking des Lapidiales sur le D119 1km à l'est de Port d'Envaux, sur la Charente au nord de Saintes. Nous suivrons Le chemin de Pierre de Crazannes avec visite guidée d'une heure des anciennes carrières, 2€50 par personne. Veuillez me faire savoir si vous pensez venir. Val: 0546385898
